NEW YORK — Hollywood’s up-and-coming power couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens attended US Magazine’s Annual Hot Hollywood Issue party on October 21st. While Zac sported his slick but down-to-earth look dressed in a Brooks Brothers blazer and shirt and Converse sneakers, Vanessa shone and sparkled in her sophisticated Kaufman Franco shift dress.
By the way, Zac Efron will not star in “Pirates of the Caribbean 4.” Effron had been rumored to trail Orlando Bloom as the young rogue under Captain Jack Sparrow in the sequel.

Of course, Kate had to look her best (and she did!) as she arrived at Cipriani Wall Street Restaurant to honor Bubrerry creative director Christopher Bailey with the “Designer of the Year” Award.

LOS ANGELES, CA — TV star and fashion designer Lauren Conrad premiered her Spring 2009 Collection during LA Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Tuesday, October 14. It is quite a nice collection consisting of 41 looks (up 11 looks from March 2008) which include girly dresses, shorts and tops.
The Collection showed some nice ’70s boho flavour as well as some weird over-sized floral hair accessories. Overall the Collection looks LA and chic — even though we all know that Conrad’s apparel is really an inexpensive one.

NEW YORK — Actress Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut in much-anticipated Arthur Miller’s revival play “All My Sons” on Thursday night. After months of hard work, rehearsals and previews nothing spoiled Katie’s triumph — even large anti-Scientology protests outside the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on West 45th Street where premiere took place.
There were about 35 protesters just down the block from the theater carrying posters and chanting “Scientology kills,” “Save Katie, Keep Tom” and “Run, Katie, Run.” Even though New York Police Department granted the permit to conduct the protest, there were more than three dozen police officers to keep order.
Katie is said to be so right for the part she is playing. Her celebrity status also generats much buzz about the play. “All My Sons” grossed more than $680,000 during its first week of preview.
NEW YORK — Don’t forget to check out Lauren Conrad’s contemporary apparel collection on your next shopping trip to Bloomingdale’s.
Apparently “WWD” and Bloomingdale’s executives are raving about Conrad’s Fall 2008 collection which is conveniently displayed on the second floor of Bloomingdale’s flagship store on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan just across from Nanette Lepore section. Conrad’s fashion line is stylish and affordable with most items priced under $200. It’s such a hit and is selling out immediately. Production can’t even supply enough to meet growing demand.
Recently there were reports circulating on the Net that Lauren Conrad was not even designer of her own collection. At some point “OK Magazine” even mentioned Sherry Wood as real behind-the-scenes designer. Conrad, however, ferociously denied these rumors and claimed that she was very hands-on and definitely the only designer of her line.
