NEW YORK – There was big Sex And The City 2 film set at Ziegfeld Theater on Friday night (10/16/2009). Crew and cast filmed the premiere for fictitious movie, “Heart of the Desert.” Miley Cyrus, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker (not pictured) were there.

Miley bumped into Kim Cattrall on the red carpet. They wore identical outfits consisting of a silver sequin dress and strappy boots. Designer Patricia Field, who is also SATC2 costumer, told us that the dresses were created by Matthew Williamson.

So, who wore the dress better, Samantha or Miley?

NEW YORK — Sex And The City 2 stage shooting is finaly over, and we were happy to see Sarah Jessica Parker filming on Upper West Side yesterday. Dressed in her own clothes, SJP headed to rehearsals.

SJP sported her signature look consisting of a trendy motorcycle leather jacket with fur trim and lining, faded jeans by German label, Closed, and beige UGG boots. Sarah Jessica Parker hid behind her favorite Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Today SATC 2 and production’s costume designer, Patricia Field, are competing against Gossip Girl, which is current cultural phenomenon featuring over the top fashion orchestrated by GG’s wardrobe baron Eric Daman. By the way, Daman worked as an assistant costume designer on SATC from 1999 through 2001.

So we are thrilled to pieces about new SATC 2 production and we hope there will be a sequel in the future. We are also thrilled about GG 3.

Anyway, Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw) wore white Halston Heritage Spring 2010 dress, Christian Louboutin shoes and Solange Azagury-Partridge jewelry. White, which isn’t exactly Fall 2009 color, plays a big role because the movie takes place over seven weeks in the summer. SATC 2 is scheduled for May 2010 release.

Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) opted for timeless look and sported a skintight LBD with cutouts. She accessorized with VBH Palm Clutch in snakeskin, wayfarer sunglasses and white peep-toe pumps. FYI, LBD happens to be one of the key garments this Fall.

Kristin Davis (Charlotte York) wore trendy fuchsia color suit by Christian Dior and accessorized with Dior bag and Christian Louboutin Criss Cross Pumps [sold out, was $795 via Neiman Marcus).

Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) wore a chic yellow mustard color asymmetrical dress, which she accessorized with a brown belt, yellow purse and Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Pumps.

ROME, ITALY — As we kept an eye on Julia Roberts filming Eat, Pray, Love in Rome, Italy, it occurred to us that she was wearing a skinny belt in almost every scene. Ummm, we get it, Julia was pushing the skinny belt trend hard enough. But is her effort really going to be noticed? Notorious for her poor fashion judgement, Julia isn’t exactly the style icon. But, nevertheless, this long-running skinny belt trend definitely deserves our attention once again.

Skinny belts were seen all over the Fall 2009 runways. So there’s great opportunity to reuse skinny belts that you may already have in your closet. This great accessory can be worn with practically anything, for styling purposes or to narrow waistline.

ROME, IT — Julia Roberts was on location in Rome filming Eat, Pray, Love on August 31 2009. Roberts sported two fall trends at once — a skinny belt and a short-sleeve cardigan. We will focus on short-sleeve to 3/4 sleeve cardigans for now, and we will feature skinny belts elsewhere.
