NEW YORK — We ran into Lindsay Lohan in the Big Apple yesterday as she was shopping at Blue & Cream Boutique. Dressed in a Blue & Cream Lamton’s Hoodie ($150 via Singer22), 6126 leggings in indigo ($83 at Revolve Clothing) and brown boots, Lindsay accessorized with Gucci Irina tote in suede ($1150 via eLuxuryPurse) and Chloe 2169 sunglasses ($239.95).

British tabloid The Mirror wrote yesterday that good chaps at Scotland Yard wouldn’t mind asking Lohan a few questions. Here’s the article:

Lindsay Lohan is to be questioned by police after £250,000 of jewellery went missing after a photo shoot.

The actress posed for Elle on a trip to London and is one of a number of people due to be quizzed after being pictured wearing the gems. They were specially designed for the shoot by fashion house Dior. Lindsay was working in Big Sky Studios in Islington, North London.

A Met police spokesman said: “Officers are investigating an allegation of theft of jewellery from studios in Brewery Road, Islington. The theft was reported on 8 June 2009 after earrings and a necklace, believed to be diamond and estimated to be worth in the region of £250,000, were found to be missing two days earlier.

“Inquiries are continuing. There have been no arrests at this stage.

 ”We will be speaking to a number of people in connection with the allegations. We do not discuss the names of people we are planning to interview.”

LiLo has not commented on the accusation. The star lost a lot of weight after her split with DJ Sam Ronson though they are said to have reconciled.

The pair have had a turbulent relationship and had changed their Facebook-status from “in a relationship” to “it’s complicated.”
