Tights are always big part of fall fashion. This fall, there’s an emerging trend that captures hearts and minds of more and more women. We see all over Manhattan young, professional women go beyond basic monochrome hosiery and opt out for flashy tights and stockings.

Colored, patterned and otherwise embellished hosiery were all over Fall 2009 runways. Naturally, there are plenty of celebrities who adopted the trend. This is quite an inexpensive accessory that instantly transforms any outfit creating bolder, edgier style. Patterned tights and stockings are versatile and can be worn with pencil skirts, shorter mini skirts, shorts and even boyfriend blazers (!).

 NEW YORK — Emma Watson made several TV appearances last week to promote next installment of Harry Potter. Emma also made an appearance on Today Show on Thursday (7/9/2009) where she was seen wearing a 3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2009 embellished tank dress. This dress in different color is available available for pre-order at Nordstrom for $595. Emma also wore Giuseppe Zanotti Fumo platform shoes ($630, was $879 at Zappos) and carried a white Proenza Schouler PS1 Leather Pouchette Chartreuse ( available in green for $895 at Barneys NY).

LONDON, UK — Besides winning the 2009 CFDA Designer of the Year Award, Kate Mulleavy and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte also managed to win Emma Watson’s heart. Watson wore Rodarte Spring 2009 dress while shopping at the Harvey Nichols store in Knightsbridge in June 2009.

Emma Watson received so much press coverage during past couple of weeks while she was promoting next Harry Potter. Blogging fashionistas are raving about her. So there’s style icon in the making. We thought we’d chip in our nickel while she is still fresh from overseas. Emma just confessed to Dave Letterman about her plans to come to the US to study Liberal Arts. Perhaps she wants to get closer to Tinseltown and all that comes with it.

The 19-year-old actress attended the New York premiere of  Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last Thursday (7/9/2009). She chose for the occasion Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 dress and Burberry Soft Drawstring platform shoes (FYI: Blake Lively has them too). Two days earlier, Emma’s appearance at London premiere of Harry Potter was somewhat spoiled by pouring rain and wardrobe malfunctions. But her 1970s Ossie Clark maxi dress looked awesome anyway. Emma accessorized with Charlotte Olympia Spring 2009 gold sandals and Chanel Camelia 18K gold ring.

Then, on Monday (7/6/2009) Emma Watson posed with Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe during Harry Potter press junket in London. She wore another Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 dress that she teamed with Giuseppe Zanotti Platforms ($630 via Zappos, was $879).

NEW YORK — Emma Watson rocked two totally different looks when she visited Late Show With David Letterman last Wednesday (7/8/2009). Watson arrived at the show wearing a polka dot dress with two tone Topshop Kameryn Brogue shoes and changed into Christopher Kane Fall 2009 dress and Charlotte Olympia Cindy Masako platforms for the interview. The C Kane dress will be available for sale in late September.
