NEW YORK — Taylor Swift wore two red dresses in one week. Besides being trendy this fall, red is definitely Taylor’s color. She looked flawless both times.
Taylor wore a red satin dress to Tommy Hilfiger Show during NY Fashion Week on September 17, accessorizing it with Lauren Merkin clutch and Stuart Weitzman Dorothy shoes (product links are below). By the way, 2009 was year of Louboutin and Zanotti with Weitzman flying way below radar, but we started noticing more and more celebrities opting for Weitzman footwear lately.
Honestly, we were surprised to see Taylor at Tommy Hilfiger show. TH Spring 2010 looked very much classic, albeit it was like a field guide to combining pale pink with other colors.
Then Taylor Swift performed at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall on September 13, 2009. She wore a draped chiffon red dress, which she accessorized with Christian Louboutin Hyper Prive Pumps in Red (we found them in black for $835 via Net-A-Porter).
Charlize Theron has been looking very trendy and chic lately, thanks to color palette and styling of her dresses.
Theron chose a subtle off blue Givenchy Resort 2010 dress for the New York premiere of The Burning Plain, which she accessorized with Givenchy sandals and Bottega Veneta clutch. Color, draping and asymmetry made her dress trendy and chic.
When Charlize Theron premiered her movie in Los Angeles, she donned Christian Dior Fall 2009 chiffon mustard dress that featured several hot trends. There was trendy and chic color enhanced with embroidery and drape styling. Theron completed her look with matching Christian Dior shoes and clutch.
Fashion’s Night Out revealed Theron’s passion for Dior. She wore silver strapless belted Dior dress when she promoted Dior’s J’Adore Fragrance at the Dior Flagship Boutique on East 57th Street in New York on September 10, 2009. The dress featured drape styling. Later that day, Theron also wore Dior floral print dress with trendy strong shoulders when she attended Launch of Designer Third Floor at Saks Fifth Avenue.
OK, now we wanted to share a good laugh with you. Video clip below that we dug up on FunnyOrDie.com features Charlize Theron during a staged interview with Zach Galifianakis. We were basically laughing at Charlize laughing non-stop.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Sandra Bullock attended All About Steve premiere on Wednesday (8/26/2009). Sandra rocked the latest must-have trend — the draped dress. Sandra’s dress is Strapless Cotton Draped Cocktail Dress. It comes from Lanvin Spring 2009 Collection.
As we looked further into draped dresses, and we’ve noticed that designers incorporated drape styling with just about everything this Fall. This included dresses, skirts, tops, pants and even shoes. Pants and shoes we will cover elsewhere.
We’ve checked our sources and put together few samples for you. They are featured below. One more thing, the drape styling trend is very practical and flattering for all body types.
