NEW YORK — Brad Pitt visited Angelina Jolie on the set of her movie, Salt, on Hudson River with daughters Zahara and Shiloh on Tuesday (12/29/2009). The girls stayed warm inside their Appaman Black Puffy Down Coats ($90). Also Twinkle Star offers the jacket for $88. Zahara also wore UGG boots (on sale $79.99, was $120) and furry ear warmers.

All-righty then! It looks like we are going to see lots of faux fur this fall/winter season — especially coats and vests. We are getting a lot of vibe from Where The Wild Things Are. Of course, we will never see as much as a wisp of faux fur on Anna Wintour or Victoria Beckham. But, hey, these ladies ain’t mainstream.

It is rather impractical to own expensive chinchilla or mink coat these days. Ask Jennifer Lopez! Insurance premiums are high, and the giant PETA rabbits  are lurking around clutching protest posters and buckets of paint.

Kate Moss‘ Winter Holiday 2009 Collection for Topshop features couple of faux fur jackets. Some conscious celebrities already wore faux fur last winter. Other celebrities are catching up to this trend.

THREE boxes of designer clothing were swiped from LA stylist Jennifer Rade Thursday night. An insider said Rade was collecting dresses for her star client, Angelina Jolie (above), who was scheduled to have a fitting with Rade the next day. “Every designer who was sending pieces was trying to send their best stuff,” said the source. “Angelina was just starting the fitting process for pieces to wear when she begins promoting ‘Salt.’ ” Rade didn’t return calls and e-mails, and Jolie doesn’t have a rep.

Angelina Jolie also kept running barefoot with a ‘bleeding’ knee at a Washington, D.C. location of Salt last week.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Columbia Pictures began shooting an espionage action thriller, Salt, in Washington, D.C. and in New York. In the movie, CIA agent Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is accused of spying for the Russkis. She must utilize all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture and prove her innocence.

Salt is being chased by a CIA counter-intelligence officer, Peabody (Chiwetel Ejiofor) while her boss and friend, agent Winter (Liev Schreiber), is trying to help her. 

Film director Phillip Noyce said about Jolie, “She’s the only one who could bring this character [Salt] to life.” “Salt will be tense and exciting, everything that thriller audiences expect, but also with a strong, multi-dimensional character at the center,” Noyce added.

Sarah Edwards is the costume designer whose most recent credits include Ghost Town, Michael Clayton and The Interpreter.
