Did Jennifer Aniston Launch Draped Cardigans Trend?
The picture above that came from He’s Just Not That Into You shows Jennifer Aniston wearing a long draped cardigan in the scene at her father’s house after he had a heart attack.
Back in 2007 when He’s Just Not That Into You was filming, draped cardigans were barely around. Draped cardigans, however, became one of the hottest trends in the making after this movie was released in February 2009. This is such a perfect example of how designers like to be inspired by Hollywood movies.
Jennifer Aniston is also notorious for interlacing her personal style with her on-screen style. It’s very common that Aniston wears a pair of her own jeans while filming a scene or takes home a warm and comfy cardigan she used on location.
Draped cardigans have been part of Aniston’s personal and professional wardrobe for a while now, and, given Aniston’s appeal, we can say that she contributed great deal to putting the draped cardigan in your closet.
We personally like aesthetics of this garment, and we believe that the draped cardigan should definitely end up in your closet this fall. And there are plenty of variations and colors to choose from. See for yourself below:
