NEW YORK — In case if you are puzzled about our sudden interest in bellboy uniforms and rapper apparel, we may report that there’s quite a diva hiding behind these hideous makeup and clothes. We were on location at The Plaza Hotel on Monday (6/29/2009) where Mariah Carey (in drag) was shooting the music video for her latest single ”Obsessed.”  This song is part of Mariah’s new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel that will be available in stores on August 25.

At some point, Mariah wore a grey hoodie, sweatpants and white sneakers that clearly referenced Eminem. Is Mariah taking revenge after Slim Shady insulted her and husband, Nick Cannon, in his track “Bagpipes From Baghdad?” In Eminem’s song, he raps, “Mariah, what ever happened to us, why did we have to break up… Nick Cannon better back the f*** up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”

Here’s an excerpt from Mariah’s “Obsessed.” “You’re delusional, boy, you’re losing your mind. It must be weed, it must be the E… Why are you so obsessed with me? Lying that you’re sexing me. Telling the world how much you miss me, but we never were so why you trippin’.” Mariah sang on, “You’re so lame….Ooh boy, why you so obsessed with me? Oh finally found a girl that you couldn’t impress….Last man on the earth….still couldn’t get this.”

Mariah also looked quite herself in a flirty python print dress and Salvatore Ferragamo open toe sandal with platform heel. She accessorized with a multi-chain gold necklace and Gucci sunglasses. See photos below.
