K-Fed is like the Jack of all trades but master of none. Failed husband (twice), failed rapper, failed model, etc. – is this enough to fairly predict outcome of K-Fed’s next career move?

Apparently Federline is teaming up with fashion executive, Gerard Guez, to create his own line of children’s apparel. Whoa, you know? Does having four children qualify someone to design clothes for kids? Maybe K-Fed should go to Parsons or FIT first, then intern for The Children’s Place for a year or so, then get his inspiration $h*t together and do some business.

Children clothing business is a tough one for several reasons. Cost of production of children’s apparel is the same as the cost of making adult clothes. There’s also good news for kids and bad news for children’s apparel makers. As of February 10, 2009, manufacturers will have to follow very strict guidelines of Consumer Products Safety Initiative Act which regulates quality of children’s clothing. Oh, did we mention severe worldwide crisis?

There are plenty of inexpensive quality childrenswear, so, maybe Mr. Britney Spears should think about dressing recording artists instead?

NEW YORK — After getting hot and heavy with model Helena Christensen for Harper’s Bazaar photoshoot, “The Gossip Graduate,” Ed Westwick chills out with his Gossip Girl co-star and real-life girlfriend Jessica Szohr. The couple enjoyed themselves and some Budweiser Light while watching basketball game Los Angeles Lakers vs. New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

Ed Westwick’s star is rising. He’s getting more product deals and participating in more photoshoots thanks to Gossip Girl. Never mind all that, we like Westwick’s down-to-earth looks and behavior. Here, Westwick is wearing a brown leather jacket paired with a brown polo shirt. There were plenty of leather jackets on Spring and Fall 2009 runways — especially from Emporio Armani and Costume National (like the one on the right).

P.S. We were informed that Ed is actually wearing a Billy Reid jacket.

We were asked about a grey sweater and ripped vintage jeans Scarlett Johansson’s character, Anna, was wearing in one of the scenes in He’s Just Not That Into You.

IDing Anna’s jeans was easy — Levi’s, but we couldn’t positively ID her sweater and had to guess. The scene in question was shot in September 2007 meaning that they could have used, besides customized or made-from-scratch apparel, items from Fall 2007, Spring 2008 and Fall 2008 collections.

Anna’s sweater actually looks more like a v-neck sweatshirt (see how fabric rolls along the cuts). We’ve seen lots of thick deep v-necks on runways in the Fall of 2007. Paul Smith had similar sweaters with thick v-neck line as part of his Fall 2008 RTW Collection. So had Junya Watanabe.

Forever 21 had very similar sweater — V-neck Batwing Sweater which they sold for $24.80. The item is no longer available, and there’s no back order.

NEW YORK — Designer Marc Jacobs has confirmed a somber state of fashion week and the fashion industry, well, sort of.

Marc Jacobs, who’s always surrounded by a throng of celebrities — who feeds off interactions with them, had no star power by his side while showing his spectacular Fall 2009 Collection during New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this past Monday.  There were only few fashion gurus in attendance like Anna Wintour, Rachel Zoe, Andre Leon Talley and Glenda Bailey. Ugh
